Change of ISL labelling according to CLP regulation

03.02.2014|

The GHS (Globally Harmonised System) ist he result of political efforts for a worldwide standardization oft he identification of chemicals which started in 2002.

The European Union has implemented the standards of GHS in the CLP (Classification, Labelling and Packaging) regulation EG No. 1272/2008 which is to replace the directive of the so called hazardous substances and preparations in 2015.

ISL is already beginning to re-label its products with immediate effect and is thus ensuring that the required directive is already complied with at an early stage. By using the new classifications possible health risks are distinguished in a better way and are marked accordingly.

For ISL customers the new labelling has the following advantages:

-       Modern, colourful labelling of all products which are subject to identification – ensuring better and faster visibility of possible health risks

-       Up-to-date classification and identification on ISL safety data sheets

-       Guaranteed change of labels of all ISL products before the deadline on 01 June 2015

ISL in Kürten near Cologne has been a member of Berlac Group since 2005 and has been producing pigment pastes and lacquers for the plastics industry for more than 45 years.
